Metrokane® Save the Wine Vacuum Wine Savers

Metrokane makes several Vacuum Wine Savers, including the FIRST VACUUM DECANTER -- V1! The main way a person can make wine keep it's freshness longer is to slow or prevent oxidation. There are basically two ways to accomplish that end.

Remove the Air to create a partial Vacuum, or

Add inert gas, such as Private Preserve, to the bottle.

Inert gas works better for storage more than a couple of days, but is also more expensive. Removing air to create a partial vacuum is the most popular and inexpensive way to preserve wine.
